Marti Mariette
Marti is interested in the healing process—what needs to be present for our bodies and minds to embrace our own healing. "Massage is part of my spiritual practice working with the sacred territory of the human body."
She is certified in Swedish massage and extended her training with Balinese, Chinese, Thai and Phenomenal Touch techniques. She's studied deep tissue, sports massage, polarity and techniques to ease pre-natal stress. Marti is a Registered Craniosacral Therapist, completing a 2 year national training program and is certified with the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America. Craniosacral work focuses on the nervous system to ease tensions and undo patterns of stress and pain., Combined with muscle massage and deeper touch, clients describe her work as; “Fluid with long sweeping flow and more relaxing than sleep.”
"I listen to what your body needs then design a session to create relaxation and restoration. Sessions include flowing strokes, deep tissue, assisted stretching and craniosacral work to bring relief and address the source of pain. Sessions bring body awareness that helps you reconnect with your own healing process."
Marti's healing work extends into the community as a volunteer with Santa Cruz Hospice and with the Santa Cruz Threshold Choir where she sings at the bedsides of hospice patients and those recovering from illness and surgery. She knows the healing power of a good dog. She visits hospital patients and children’s classrooms doing canine assisted therapy with her standard poodle, Mia. She teaches art and writing and encourages the artist inside each of us, however it wishes to be expressed.

Serene Silva
Serene believes that bodywork is an essential key to relieving physical pain as well as a doorway to moving through stagnant emotional energy.
Residuals of emotions, traumas and stress are stored within our tissue and can create blockages of energy that manifest as chronic pain. By being aware and acutely present with her clients, Serene creates a healing space in which her client's will often clear out blockages spontaneously, release muscle tension and relax the nervous system. Her bodywork serves as a vehicle to one's own healing process.
Serene's sessions consist of slow, intentional, focused and deep strokes using elbows and forearms.
In addition to deep tissue techniques, Serene employs softer modalities such as neuromuscular release, which begins to disrupt the brain-body feedback loop of chronic pain. By creating the space to relax and release, Serene's sessions allow the nervous system to let go of stress, release deep-seated tension patterns and clear restricted neural pathways. Working deep when appropriate, but also with an intuitive touch, Serene creates ease in body, mind and a sense of emotional wellbeing.
Serene has trained locally through Cypress Health Institute, learning the art of relaxation techniques through Swedish and polarity therapy. Also educated through Midline School of Massage, with an intense focus on deep tissue work, Serene draws upon a broad spectrum of techniques.
Serene is also an artist- a passionate metalsmith- who spends her time focused on art, creativity and honing her craft. Living in the woods and being in nature is an essential component to her life and is the muse that serves her inspiration. Cooking good food, reading books and cultivating California native plants are also some of her favorite pastimes.
"Massage is more then just mechanical moves, it is a way to get back into our bodies, and back to ourselves. It is something I feel honored to be able to do as a profession, and feels exactly what I am supposed to be doing".
